In the eastern part of the Nin’s Lagoon there are salt fields. Saltpans testify about one of the oldest economies of Nin and salt harvesting still done in a natural way. In Nin, generations have hand harvested salt with lots of love. The salt is produced by the sun, sea and wind. Offer of products are in the salt pans, and the most famous are flower of salt and chocolate infused with it. In the surroundings of salt pans on the swampy terrain there are swamp birds and this is a favourite place for bird watchers and ornithologists.
On the legendary beach, Queen’s beach, there is a baby beach, and nearvy there is thalassotherapy clinic in the open with medicinal mud. Treatments and rehabilitation with the mud therapy are successfully performed for over 50 years.
